How much do you love the poor? and how genuine is your love for them?
I ask these questions because time and again, people have asked me why we named our product MASA Squalene.
My simple reply is: "Masa, in Filipino, literally means 'most of the people,' (especially the poor and underprivileged). Because my heart is for the poor,, MASA Squalene is thus intended for them."
Incidentally, a soft-heart for the poor runs in our family. When I was a young boy in my hometown San Marcelino, Zambales, Philippines, Don Exequiel Magsaysay, father of the late Philippine President Ramon Magsaysay (RM), once paid my father a surprise visit.
Our house was small, with bamboo stairs. Afraid that Don Exequiel might fall down, my father cautioned him: "Cousin, why did you come to my small house? You might fall down stairs and hurt yourself." Don Exequiel answered: "It's not your house I came to see, cousin. I came to see you. You know, I have a soft-heart for lowly people like us."
Even his son Ramon loved the masses, the common tao, so much so that he won overwhelmingly in the presidential elections. Even lawless elements were led back to being law-abiding citizens because they believed in RM's sincere love for the poor.
I firmly believe in the saying, "Love begets love." Hence, our LOW PRICE for worldclass squalene, MASA Squalene, is one way of showing LOVE for the less fortunate. For this reason, MASA Squalene could be the highest selling single brand on the world market today.
Truly, it pays to express sincere LOVE for the poor and underprivileged by giving them MASA Squalene, the world's best and yet the most affordable ever.
Let us thus nurture that kindness and love for the lowly because that is the main reason why MASA Squalene is so named.
